With Miss Regina, an adorable singer and Miss Betty, a charismatic pianist, two thoroughbred musicians have met each other. Supported by master bass player Mister DeLuxe they revive the music of the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.
The repertoire of the Swinging Ladies DeLuxe goes from the Comedian Harmonists ("Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus") to the Andrews Sisters ("Rum and Coca Cola") and up to Harry Belafonte’s "Banana Boat Song" and true-to-style own compositions.
They will take you for a ramble through the 40s and 50s with worldwide known songs as "Bei mir bist Du scheen" or "Rum and Coca Cola" from the Andrews Sisters, "That’s Amore" from Dean Martin, Swing and Jive classics from Doris Day, Jane Russell, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Nat King Cole and many other stars.
Miss Regina alias Regina Hebein: Vocals, Saxophone, Guitar
It’s said that Regina could sing before she even could talk. Flute, guitar, violin, piano and saxophone lessons rounded up her classical vocal studies (coloratura soprano). With 25 she changed over to Schlager music, Swing, and Boogie of the 50s and became so enthusiastic about, that she left the classical music behind her for good. Since many years she is part of the famous bands "Schurli & Die Motorbienen" and "Girly & The Blue Caps". She also was engaged as a background singer for Wolfgang Ambros.
Conclusion: Music is Reginas elixir of life and her perfectionism drives not only Betty crazy. She is the jazziest appearance since Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell.
Miss Betty alias Barbara Jascht: Piano, Vocals, Tap Dance
Betty studied Piano as concert subject until 1988 at the Brucknerkonservatorium in Linz. She was addicted to Swing and Boogie Woogie already from her childhood on. It was only a matter of time when she stopped to play classical music and moved to Vienna to start her career in the Swing world. From 1990-1992 she was member of the band "Jive Giants" and from 1993 (until end of 2001) she became band leader of "Five in Love with Betty". With that band she made her name throughout Europe. Since beginning of 2003 she has a new swing and jive band named "Betty’s Swingclub". With that band she had had again great national and international success..
Conclusion: Betty is an absolut swing freak and hopeless devoted to the flair of the 40s. She loves to wear imitated Leopard.
Mister DeLuxe alias Wolfgang Hering: Upright Bass
Wolfgang studied at the academy of music in Vienna and made his years of travel and didactic with "Liederlich Spielleut" and many other bands. From 1990-1994 he was engaged as a bass player for "Andy Lee Lang" and from 1995 on he was successfully on the road with "Schurli & Die Motorbienen". 1996 he changed to "Girly & The Blue Caps" and since 2003 he plays for "Betty's Swing Club". Wolfgang is a Jive bass player of the first hour.
Conclusion: Wolfgang is not to get worked up!
The band normally performs as a trio, but if desired they can also be engaged as a quartet or sextet.
The program – Swing’s guaranteed! Music and Entertainment pure!
