Coming by Train or Plane

Train: Your destination is München Hauptbahnhof. You can find the time schedule information and book the tickets for the German railway system at www.bahn.de. From the Hauptbahnhof it is a 3-4 minute walk to the events (see below).

Airport Munich: Take S-Bahn S8 or S1 (towards Hauptbahnhof) and exit at Karlsplatz/Stachus (ca. 40-45 min.). It’s only a 3 minute walk to the main events (see details below). Time schedule information for the Munich public transportation can be found at www.mvv-muenchen.de.

 

Directions to RTS Dance Camp (Fri-Mon)

The directions to the Dance Camp are the same as to the Karlsplatz (Stachus) or to the Kolpinghaus. All dance studios are lokated in walking distance around the Kolpinghaus, that means between Hauptbahnhof (central station), Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Sendlinger Tor..

You have to visit the Check-In first to receive your camp documents and tickets before you can go to any class. Check-In for the Dance Camp is possible at the Check-In desk during the day and at the RTSF box office in the evenings. The location for the Check-In an the Check-In times will be announced soon. More information can be found here.

Please bring your registration confirmation to the Check-In. You will receive your camp documents and tickets there. It is still possible to register on site for the camp.

Car + Parking in the city: If you come by car please use Map24 or another routing planer for detailled directions. You can park in parking blocks or at the roadside (Mon - Sat with parking ticket during the day, free parking after 23:00 h). We are also working on a bargain deal with surrounded parking blocks.

The Adolf-Kolping-Straße is a parallel street north of the Schwanthalerstraße (direction central station). The Kolpinghaus is located in a side street, which runs between the Chinese Fast Foot Restaurant an the Galeria Kaufhof. You can also use the back exit of the Matthäser Cinema at the Stachus. Access to the Adolf-Kolping-Straße is possible from the Sonnenstraße (east) and from the Schillerstraße (west). - Be aware that the Schillerstraße is a one-way street and the Sonnenstraße is divided in two separated lanes.

Public Transportation: Munich has an extremely well developed public transportation system (S/U-Bahn Map, Network Plan (PDF, 773 KB)). The complete schedule of the Munich public transportation (MVV) can be found at www.mvv-muenchen.de. The closest stations to the Kolpinghaus are:

• Karlsplatz/Stachus for S-Bahn (all lines), U-Bahn (U4, U5),
  Tram (lines 17, 18, 27, N17, N27)

  There are many exits at Karlsplatz/Stachus. When you come up from the underground level take the wide main walk up to the mezzanine level. At the end of the passage you will see a Tengelmann store. Turn right and take the right elevator. The next crossing is already Adolf-Kolping-Straße. Turn left into the street. The Kolpinghaus and the Alt-Münchener Gessellenhaus are on the left side of the street.
   
  
• Hauptbahnhof for S-Bahn (all lines), U-Bahn (U1, U2, U4, U5, U7, U8), Tram (lines 16 to 21, N17, N19, N20)

  Walk pass the ticket counters in the main hall and exit through the main exit (east), turn right, cross the Bayerstraße and walk into Schillerstraße (a C&A department store is on the left corner), turn left into Adolf-Kolping-Straße (1st street). You will see Kolpinghaus and the Alt-Münchener Gessellenhaus are on the right side.
   
  
• Sendlinger Tor for U-Bahn (U1, U2, U3, U6, U7, U8),
  Tram (lines 17, 18, 27, N17, N27)

  Take the exit Sonnenstraße. Make sure you are on the left side of the street. Walk north on Sonnenstraße. Turn left into Adolf-Kolping-Straße. The Kolpinghaus and the Alt-Münchener Gessellenhaus are on the left side.

The complete schedule of the Munich public transportation (MVV) can be found at www.mvv-muenchen.de. The closest station to the Deutsches Theater in Fröttmaning is:

  There are only two exits at the U-Bahn stop Fröttmaning. Please use the exit P+R Parkhaus. Already from the glassy passage you can see a hudge tent construction which is the Deutsches Theater Fröttmaning.

Car + Parking: If you come by car please use Map24 or another routing planer for detailled directions. After you have left the freeway A9 at the ramp "Fröttmaning" follow always the sign P+R. You can park either in the P+R Parkhaus or in the parking lot (gravel ground) behind the theatre tent. For both parking possibilities there is a parking fee of 1 Euro. If you park in the P+R Parkhaus, make sure that you will have your ball ticket with you when you leave the parking structure, because only that ticket entitles you for the 1 Euro bargain parking price (controls!)

Public Transportation: Munich has an extremely well developed public transportation system (S/U-Bahn Map, Network Plan (PDF, 773 KB)). The complete schedule of the Munich public transportation (MVV) can be found at www.mvv-muenchen.de. The closest stops to the Max-Emanuel-Brauerei are:

• Schellingstraße: Take the Tram 27 towards Petuelring. You can buy a cheaper short distance ticket (Kurzstrecke). ße (=4th station from Karlsplatz/Stachus). Walk straight on (driving direction of tram) to the next traffic light and turn right into Adalbertstraße. Cross Nordendstraße and you will find the Max-Emanuel-Brauerei at your right hand side. It’s about 4 minute walking distance from the tram to the venue.
  
  
• Universität: Take U-Bahn U3/U6 towards Münchner Freiheit (you can enter the subway at Sendlinger Tor or Marienplatz for example). Exit at Universität. Walk out in driving direction of the U-Bahn. When you exit the station, turn left and immediately left again into Adalbertstraße. Cross Amalienstraße and Türkenstraße. After a few more meters you will see the Max-Emanuel-Brauerei on the left hand side. It’s about 5-6 minute walking distance from the U-Bahn to the venue.

Taxi: The price from the city center to the Max-Emanuel-Brauerei is about 15 Euro.
 
Parking: For driving directions to the Max-Emanuel-Brauerei use Map24 or any other routing service. Parking is available around the Max-Emanuel-Brauerei, but if you are late, it will take you a while to find a free spot. On Sunday there is free parking.
